Popular SARS personnel, Yomi Sars aka Gucci Mane Eko (Lagos Gucci Mane) has spoken on the #EndSARS going on on social media.

Nigerians are still crying out over police brutality meted out by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigerian Police Force. And while the conversations about police reforms are ongoing, one of the men of the SARS, in an interview with Pulse spoke on the viral topic.

Yomi, who is a 30 year-old singer and rapper who combines tackling crime with recording and releasing music, said those campaigning for the end of the SARS department should volunteer 2 people from their family to be given the guns to go and face whatever.

He said; “You are shouting End SARS, what about the corruption in the country? All the people shouting end sars, let them volunteer two each from their family members and be given guns to face whatever. As a SARS personnel, you can only wake up in the morning, tell your wife Good morning baby i’m going to the office, your coming back is not guaranteed number one, secondly, If God guides you to the office and you’re posted to another state, would you say ‘No’? You would start the journey before informing your wife, she would start praying. I’ve once been on police operation for 7 days straight, but all the police operation, i don’t post it on social media. Anybody dey toilet post am for social media before? No! Social media is only meant for the good life, the highlights, the good things. Someone staying in agege won’t post her picture in agege, but anytime she’s in Lekki, you will see plenty pictures, so that’s how fake we are in this country”
